Four persons were killed in separate incidents of lightning in Morang, Udaypur and Nuwakot district on Wednesday.

Gholi Sada, 28, of Triyuga Municipality-17, Udaypur was killed after being struck by lightning while he was heading to district headquarters Gaighat from his house yesterday evening, said District Police Office, Udaypur.

Similarly, Jagat Bahadur Thing, 50 of Betini VDC, Nuwakot was killed after being struck by a bolt of lightning while he was sleeping in his house Wednesday night. He died on the spot.

Meanwhile One Shivaji Yadav, 55, of Biratnagar sub-metropolitan city-22 and Bikram Gurung,22, of Budhnagar-2 died on the spot after lightning struck them.

The lightning bold hit Yadav while he was working in the paddy field and Gurung while he was returning home from work place on his bicycle, the police said. nepalnews.com
