Indian Army Chief Bikram Singh’s visit to Mustang and Pokhara on Thursday was cancelled because of bad weather.
General Singh was scheduled to fly to Mustang for an inspection visit to Nepal Army’s High Altitude School (Mountain Warfare) and then fly back to Pokhara where he was to visit the NA’s western division and the Indian pension camp. The flight was cancelled due to poor visibility, the NA said.
General Singh arrived in Kathmandu on a five-day official trip on Tuesday. He has already met his Nepali counterpart Chhattraman Singh Gurung, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and President Ram Baran Yadav. Nepalnews.com
