The board meeting of Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF) has decided to form oversight agency for the distribution of ID cards by identifying poor families.
The meeting under the chairmanship of PAF vice-chairman Janak Raj Joshi on Friday also decided to proceed with the distribution of ID cards for poor in three phases. The ID cards will be distributed in 25 districts in each phase starting from September 17, according to PAF.
As per the government’s target to distribute ID cards to poor within this year, the steering committee has been already formed under the PAF vice-chairman Joshi and technical committee under the director general of Central Bureau of Statistics to implement the plan. nepalnews.com
