Families from Chepang community, a poverty-stricken indigenous community in Chitwan, will get new homes to settle in soon as the government has already started constructing 125 houses for them in various villages.
The construction of the houses is under the second phase of the People's Housing Program launched by the government, said RSS.
The houses are being constructed in Sarikhet Palase, Kankada, Bharta, Manahari, Basamadi and Raksirang villages.
The government has allocated Rs. 24.7 million for the Building and Technology Research Training Center for the implementation of the second phase program.
Apartment from the government's support, each family will have to contribute labour equivalent to Rs. 10,000 for the construction of the buildings. nepalnews.com
