Students of higher secondary run by community and government affiliated Universities along with public campuses will get subsidy in the kerosene and cooking gas effective from Monday.
The cabinet meeting on Thursday decided to provide subsidy to the students as per the proposal of the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies (MoCS).
As per decision, students will be entitled to subsidy in cooking gas of up to Rs. 250 per cylinder and Rs. 10 per litre in kerosene.
A student will get maximum of four cylinders per year with subsidy and subsidy in maximum 10 litres of kerosene per month, according to the MoCS). Nepalnews.com
