The government has appointed Secretary of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yagya Gautam as the chairperson of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).

According to the ministry, the Friday's cabinet meeting took the decision.

Similarly, the cabinet also appointed Deputy General Manager of NAC Raju Bahadur KC as the acting general manager of NAC.

KC will work in this post until a new general manager is appointed. He is with the NAC since last 35 years.

Both posts were vacant after NAC chairperson and general manager Man Rup Shahi resigned last week owing to persistent controversy over his academic and professional qualifications. nepalnews.com
