Three persons diagnosed with swine flue last month have been cured after a treatment in isolation for five days, health officials say.

The patients were given a full course of Tamiflu for five days and their disease have been cured completely, said Dr Senendra Raj Upreti, director of Epidemiology and Disease Control Division. They need not be kept in isolation anymore as they are not capable of transmitting the disease to others now.

Three members of a family, a 44-four year old man, a 38-year old woman and an eight-year old child, who entered Nepal on June 21 from the USA via Doha were found infected with the Pandeminc Influenza ‘A’ H1N1. They were treated in isolation at their home.

Later two other persons who had come in contact with the victims were also diagnosed with swine flu. They are still undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, swine flu has been suspected in one Bhim Bahadur Chaudhary, 23, of Bardiya. He returned from Quatar a few days ago. Although, he was suspected of swine flue after the test at Tribhuvan International Airport, health officials had lost contact with him as he left for his hometown.
