Two persons lost their lives in Makwanpur Tuesday evening when they were struck by separate sparks of lightnings.

Ganesh Bahadur Tuntun, 57, of Sahid Smarak, Hetauda - 11, and Ram Kumar Baiba, 20, of Chhatiwan - 9, Makwanpur died when they were struck by lightnings. Four others have been injured.

Two persons were injured and a buffalo killed when another lightning struck at Krishna Bahadur Tamang's house in Kavre.

Monday evening's thunder-storm has damaged property in various parts of the country.

Roofs of some huts in the Maoist cantonments in Nawalparasi and Chitwan have been blown off.

Likewise, two passenger buses were damaged in Chabahil, Kathmandu when a tree on the roadside fell on them due to the storm. nepalnews.com
