Four persons have died and one has gone missing after they were washed away by the swelling Kamala River following the incessant monsoon rains Sunday.

Police have recovered four bodies from various places in Siraha, while the body of one is still missing.

A deceased has been identified as Rajeshwar Mahato of Mahottari. The other three have not been identified.

Meanwhile, Prithvi Highway was also blocked briefly Monday morning due to a landslide in Fisling of Darechok VDC. The highway has resumed after the landslide was cleared. nepalnews.com
