Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal has requested coalition partner Unified CPN (Maoist) to rollback its decision to call back its ministers from the government.

In an interview with Kantipur daily published Sunday, PM Khanal said UCPN (Maoist) should rethink on its decision to call back the ministers as the cabinet reshuffle would send a wrong message to the people at a time when the government should have focused on constitution and peace process.

Khanal indirectly said that he would resign from his position if the UCPN (Maoist) continued to pressure him for cabinet reshuffle.

The UCPN (Maoist), miffed with PM Khanal’s refusal to comply with its decision for cabinet reshuffle, called back its ministers from the government on Saturday. nepalnews.com
