The Special Court has set bails for three more accused persons in the Sudan scam - former Additional Inspector General (AIG) Shyam Singh Thapa, former Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shiva Lamichhane and former SP Niraj Bahadur Shahi - on Sunday.

The court has demanded a bail of Rs 13 million from ex-AIG Thapa, Rs 6 million from ex-SSP Lamichhane and Rs 2.5 million from ex-SP Shahi.

All three ex-police officers have been sent to judicial custody in Dillibazaar as they could not deposit the bail Sunday. They were already in police custody since past few days in the course of the hearing. nepalnews.com
