UCPN (Maoist) vice chairman Mohan Baidya, who has been critical of party’s decision to handover keys of arms containers to the Army Integration Special Committee (AISC), has condemned the decision reached in AISC meeting yesterday.

Mohan Baidya (File photo)Issuing a press release shortly after the handover of the keys in the Third Division of PLA cantonment in Shaktikhor of Chitwan and Second Division in Dudhauli of Sindhuli, Thursday evening, the party’s hardliner leader warned that the decision would be “suicidal” for the Maoist party itself.

“This move has come against the decision of (the party’s) central committee and standing committee. The decision made in a hurry is meant to disarm and dissolve PLA,” vice chairman Baidya added.

Baidya has also demanded that the decision to hand over the keys be revoked at the earliest. nepalnews.com
