Four cadres of the armed underground outfit Terai Rastriya Janaatantrik Party (TRJP) have been arrested by the Indian police in Bihar state of India on Wednesday.

The arrested are TRJP spokesperson Ranadhir Singh aka Bibash Bidrohi and central members Ram Babu Yadav, Ram Narayan Yadav and Ram Bilash Yadav Police also found three pistols and few rounds of ammunitions in their possession.

The TRJP cadres are currently being detained in Darbhanga of Bihar state and preparation are said to be going on to hand them over to Nepal Police.

TRJP is one of hundreds of rag tag armed outfits involved in criminal activities like abduction, extortion and murder in terai plains of Nepal in the guise of liberating Madhesh.

This is the first high profile arrest of any armed Terai group after the government implemented the special security plan in Terai despite strong protests from Madhes based parties to keep a lid on the deteriorating security situation in the region. nepalnews.com
