Vice chairman of the Unified CPN (Maoist) and former finance minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has put forth condition of guaranteeing civilian supremacy for formation of a national consensus government.

Speaking at a function in Mahendranagar on Friday, Bhattarai said the campaign that his party has begun against the president’s move will only end on restoring the civilian supremacy.

Bhattarai proposed for simultaneous works on army integration, constitution drafting and peace process.

In another context, Dr Bhattarai said his party is in favour of executing bigger hydropower plants like Western Seti and Pancheshwor provided they serve the national interests. nepalnews.com
