The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Sunday asked Minister for Irrigation Mahendra Yadav to appear before it with all the documents to crosscheck if the minister committed any irregularity while approving the programmes.
The CIAA’s move comes in response the media reports that minister Yadav asked one percent commission for approving the project which is not enlisted in the ministry’s plan.
The reports said that Minister Yadav refused to approve the programmes even after the expiry of the deadline to hand over the contract for the programmes. nepalnews.com
