Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal called on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav at Shital Niwas Saturday to inform him about his visit to New York starting Sunday.
During the meeting, President Yadav inquired about the food shortage in some western districts, reports quoting officials at the President's Office said. In reply, the Prime Minister said the government was making necessary preparations to deliver food to the needy population at the earliest.
PM Nepal is leaving for New York to attend the United Nations general assembly.
His 23-member entourage comprises his political aides, Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala, foreign secretary Gyan Chandra Acharya and some journalists. nepalnews.com
