Nepali Congress president Sushil Koirala Thursday warned of nationwide protest against the ruling UCPN (Maoist) if it fails to implement 7-point agreement including return of the seized property and dissolution of the Young Communist League (YCL).
Speaking at a press meet organised by Press Union Syanjga chapter, the NC president said that the works related to peace and constitution writing were overshadowed due to the failure of the Maoist party to implement the agreement reached earlier.
"Maoists shows readiness to sign the agreement but they do not implement it," Koirala addded, "Doubts have been raised due to the gap between their commitment and action."
He also alleged the Maoist party of raising voice for presidential government to push back the peace process.
"We want constitutional President elected from the parliament and executive prime minister," he said, "Our party will not change its stand on the form of the governance." nepalnews.com
