Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Thursday  handed over the report on the restructuring of the state to Constituent Assembly chairman Subas Nemwang for the presentation in the CA meeting.

The State Restructuring Commission (SRC) had submitted its report to the PM proposing 11-state federal model based on ethnicity and language on Tuesday. The minority members had also prepared a separate report proposing a six-state federal model based on geographical lines.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the chief whips of the major political parties and CA chairman Nemwang held today decided to present the report only after February 5 after amending the CA regulation. nepalnews.com
