Minister for Information and Communication Jay Prakash Prasad Gupta Friday said the report of the State Restructuring Commission (SRC) will not be accepted by Madhesi parties.

Inaugurating a media conference in Malagawa of Sarlahi, minister Gupta who is also the chairman of Madeshi Janaadhikar Forum (Republic)  ruled out the possibility of the implementation of the SRC report.

He said that report failed to address the spirit and agendas of Madhes.

"The report has suggested to divide Madhes which is against the concept of 'one Madhes single province' . So, we it will not be acceptable for us,” added  Gupta.

However, one of the key partners in Madhesi alliance, Madeshi Janaadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) chairman Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar who is also the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs  had said that the  government and his party have taken SRC report positively. nepalnews.com
