Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha returned home on Friday after an 18-day stay in Japan for medical treatment.

Shrestha had undergone “Cervical Decompression and Stabilisation” surgery at Hokkaiso University Hospital on Jan. 19.

He had been suffering from “Cervical Myelopathy” caused by cervical stenosis and instability at the level of C3/C4 spine, his personal aide Shital Kaji Shrestha said.

DPM Shrestha, who had gone to Japan with his personal physician, remained in post operative care for a few days.

During his stay in Japan, he also met some Japanese lawmakers and senior foreign relation officials. nepalnews.com
