Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun, who is also Maoist leader, has reached Masuriya of Kailali district accompanied by Maoist PLA Deputy Commander Barsha Man Pun Tuesday to hold talks with cadres of his party’s youth wing YCL and former disqualified combatants who are organising various protest programs against the party demanding same assistance package provided to the voluntarily retiring PLA members and those being integrated with the Nepal Army.

Reports coming in say negotiations are underway inside the PLA cantonment in Masuriya after the agitating YCL cadres insisted that top Maoist leadership come to Masuriya to hold the talks.

YCL and former disqualified combatants had padlocked the Maoist party offices in the far western region and seized the documents and the assets of the offices on Monday demanding financial package being provided to the voluntarily retiring PLA members.

Today, they obstructed the road connecting 7th division cantonment to disrupt the discharge of the combatants choosing voluntary retirement and also took control over the vehicle of politburo member Darmendra Bastola at Gokuleshwor of Darchula district today. Nepalnews.com
