It may be unbelievable that a lizard could disrupt the terrestrial telephone service of a telecom for six days but it is what actually
happened in Kapilvastu, RSS reports.

More than one thousand of telephone lines distributed under the Nepal Telecom Jitpur Sub-division have been completely disrupted for the past six days.

The Telecom Kapilvastu cited technical glitch in system as a cause behind the disruption in the beginning but now it has come to public notice that a lizard made the telecom system dysfunctional.

Telecom Kapilvastu Taulihawa Chief Rakesh Kumar Gupta informed a lizard was found deceased in the system software and that caused short circuit of the system.

Jitpur Sub Division Chief Humnath Bhusal said the problem will be resolved from Telecom Regional Office Bhaurahawa.

However, Civil Society Kapilvastu Chair Drona Subedi termed it a sheer negligence on the part of Telecom to render users out of communication for six days. nepalnews.com
