Seven die, four injured in separate road mishaps in eastern Nepal

At least seven persons died and four others were seriously injured in separate road accidents in eastern region of the country on Friday.

According to the Eastern Regional Traffic Police Office, Itahari told RSS three persons were killed when a truck (Ko 1 Kha 1578) hit a motorcycle along the Urlabari-Sijuwa road section in Morang district. Next one was seriously hurt in the incident.

Khem Dhakal and Shankar Chaudhary of Itahari died on the spot while injured Shatrughan Sah died on the way to Biratnagar for treatment. Injured Laxman Khadka is undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar, said Traffic Police.

Similarly, Uday Rajbansi, 5, son of Punya Prasad Rajbansi of Mechinagar Municipality-11 of Jhapa district died while a bus (Me 1 Kha 902) hit him.

Likewise, Samjhana Rai (21) of Topgachhi, Jhapa, who was undergoing treatment after sustaining serious injuries in a separate road accident, died last night. A motorbike (Ko 10 Pa 9258) had hit her.

In a separate road accident in Siraha, Sarita Sah (10) died after a motorcycle (Sa 2 Pa 5722) hit her near Prayapur of Siraha district.

Similarly, helper of a jeep (Ko 1 Cha 4365) died after the same jeep hit him at Manebhanjyang in Chichila of Sankhuwasabha district. Hangjeet (15) of Tilpati-7, Sankhuwasabha died on the spot after the incident. nepalnews.com
