UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal DahalUCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Wednesday said the possibility of a national unity government will be discussed with priority in the three-party meeting scheduled for Thursday.

Speaking at the memorial service for president of Progressive Writer's Association, Ghanshyam Dhakal in Pokhara, Dahal said that the major parties were serious about finding a common ground for formation of national consensus government to conclude the peace process as soon as possible.

“All the parties are aware of their roles to end political transition. We will discuss unity government in tomorrow’s meeting,” he added.

The Maoist chairman also claimed that the action plan for integration of the combatants would be finalised in a week or so.

The top-level meeting of the three major parties- UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML - scheduled for Thursday will also discuss the disputed issues seen in the constitution drafting.

The dispute resolution sub-committed headed by Dahal had on Monday decided to give the responsibility to find consensus on form of governance and electoral system to the top leaders of the three parties. nepalnews.com
