The 12th All Nepal National Lawyers' Conference kicked off in the capital on Friday.
President Ram Baran Yadav formally opened the conference which will continue for three days. Some 4,000 lawyers from across the country are participating in the conference oranised by Nepal Bar Association.
The legal eagles will brainstorm on how to build pressure on the parties to write a democratic constitution, and ways to ensure the rights of the law professionals.
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, Constituent Assembly chairman Subas Nemwang, Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi and leaders of the different parties including Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress president Sushil Koirala and UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal were present in the inaugural ceremony. nepalnews.com
