Nepal lost to the Netherlands by six wickets with 37 balls remaining in the allotted  20 overs match of the ICC World Cup T20 Qualifier played at ICC Global Cricket Academy, Dubai, on Monday.

As the Netherlands chose to field first after winning the toss, Nepal could only score 85 runs at the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Chasing the paltry target, the Netherlands easily met the target of 86 runs in 13.5 overs losing four wickets.

For the Netherlands, Tom Lexley William Cooper scored 18 runs off 15 balls and Michael Richard Swart scored 16 runs off 26 balls while Stephanus Johannes Myburgh and Alexei Nicolaas Kervezee scored 15 runs each. Similarly, Wesley Barresi contributed 14 runs off 15 balls to secure easy victory over Nepal.

In Nepal's inning, Gyanendra Malla scored the highest - 32 runs off 49 balls - for Nepal while Basanta Regmi scored 20 runs off 17 balls and Anil Kumar Mandal scored 11 runs off 24 balls.
