Senior leaders of UCPN (Maoist) have urged UML leaders to be more flexible while determining of the ranks for the Maoist combatants who have chosen the integration option.
In the meeting with UML leaders held at its parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar on Wednesday, the Maoist leaders expressed their commitment to agree on the integration based on seven point agreement. However, they stressed on the need for a review on the part of UML on the rank of the combatants.
Emerging from the meeting, UML leader Bhim Rawal said the Maoist leaders urged them to settle the differences seen in determining of the rank through the political decision.
In response, UML leaders insisted that the integration process should be completed on the basis of seven point agreement instead of political decision.
