Student unions affiliated to different parties continued protest against the latest price hike in petrol, diesel and kerosene on Thursday.

The student unions organised protest programmes in front of government campuses from 8 am to 9 pm demanding rollback of the price hike.

The student unions including All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) and Nepal Student Union (NSU) also announced that they would prevent government vehicles from playing on the roads from today and will organise protests till April 1.

The students have also warned of stronger protest if the government did not withdraw the price hike.

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) had hiked the price of the petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs. 4 per litre each effective from March 27.

Following the increase in the price of the fuel, the price of petrol has reached Rs. 120 per litre and diesel and kerosene to Rs. 89 per litre each. nepalnews.com
