The United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) is organising a mass meeting following rallies at Khula Manch in Kathmandu Saturday afternoon.
The UDMF has said mass meeting is meant to 'warn' against attempts to curtail federalism as the May 27 deadline to draft the new constitution inches closer.
Senior leaders of the Front including Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, Terai Madhes Loktantrik Party chairman Mahantha Thakur and Sadbhawana Party chairman Rajendra Mahato are to address the mass meeting.
Today's mass meeting is the first major 'show of strength' by the Madhesi parties in the capital. nepalnews.com
