Former People’s Liberation Army (PLA) commanders met with UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on Saturday.
The meeting held at Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar dwelt on the process of integration, rank harmonisation, and the conditions of the PLA cantonments after their handover to the Nepal Army.
The commanders urged the leaders to begin the integration process immediately and settle the disputed issues seen in peace and constitution writing process, RSS quoted Dahal´s press coordinator Santosh Paudel as saying.
Chairman Dahal assured the commanders that the political parties would soon settle the issue of General Directorate,training period and bridge course for the combatants selected for integration.
PLA chief Nanda Kishor Pun, spokesperson and deputy commander Chandra Prakash Khanal, and divison commanders available in the capital were present in the meeting. nepalnews.com
