The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of legislature parliament Tuesday asked the government to maintain transparency in the government fund allocated for the Maoist People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
The PAC meeting held at Singha Durbar also questioned Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Satya Pahadi over the ‘irregularity’ in the fund allocated for the combatants who were cantoned at various camps before the integration and rehabilitation process was started.
The PAC members raised questions over the expenses of Rs 46.12 crore that was spent for the management of camps of the combatants. The PAC found that transactions were also made without valid bills. nepalnews.com
