The dispute resolution Sub-Committee under the Constitutional Committee (CC) has sought five more days to settle all the disputed issues related to constitution drafting.

The meting of Sub-Committee held at Singha Durbar this afternoon decided to request for additional five days to resolve remaining disputes as the major political parties failed to come up with a common position on the contentious issues within the deadline set by Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the parliament despite hectic parties.

Emerging from the meeting, CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said they would resolve all the disputes if the Sub-Committee is given more five days. He also said that the meeting was positive and the parties were close to the agreement.

According to the constitution drafting action plan, the parties should have reached an understanding on key issues related to the constitution drafting including form of the governance, state restructuring, and electoral system among other by Tuesday.
