Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the parliament has approved recommendation of the Constitutional Committee (CC) to give additional five days for the political parties to resolve the disputes seen in the constitution drafting.

The BAC meeting held on Wednesday at Constituent Assembly building approved CC’s recommendation to extend the deadline for the parties to April 22 to resolve the contentious issues after the leaders failed to forge consensus by April 17.

The issues will have to be settled through the voting in the CA if the parties again fail to come up with the consensus by April 22.

The parties are yet to reach an understanding on key issues related to the constitution drafting including form of the governance, state restructuring, and electoral system among other. nepalnews.com
