Despite the singing of five point agreement to pave the way for Baburam Bhattarai led consensus government, the CPN- UML is still indecisive about joining the government as Central Committee (CC) meeting called on Sunday was postponed after the CC members were divided on the matter.
The meeting held at party headquarters in Balkhu handed over the responsibility to decide whether or not to join the government to the Standing Committee after the CC meeting could not decide about it.
According to UML publicity department chief Pradeep Gyawali, the meeting was deferred due to the lack of time as many of central committee members showed interest to present their views on the agenda. It is learnt that the majority of the CC members is against joining the government. They have suggested the party to support the government without joining the it. But, party chairman Jhala Nath Khanal is under pressure to make his party join the government as he has already signed in the agreement on behalf of the party. nepalnews.com
