Three persons accused in the murder of Jhapa-based journalist Yadav Poudel were sent to judicial custody on Wednesday.

The Jhapa district court sent Yuba Raj Giri, Manju Dhakal and her husband Som Dhakal to judicial custody and released another suspect, Madan Rai, on bail. Rai was released on Rs 27,000 bail.

Poudel, the Jhapa correspondent of Avenues TV and Radhani daily, was killed on the night of April 4.

He is said to have been planning a newspaper in partnership with Giri. Police said he was thrown out of the roof of the hotel owned by Dhakal couple. Investigation report stated that Giri threw him out of the roof of the hotel following a dispute. nepalnews.com
