The meeting of the Constitutional Committee (CC), which is the main panel in the Constituent Assembly responsible for preparing the draft of the new constitution, has been postponed indefinitely.
The CC meeting, which was scheduled to take place at 11 am Monday, was cancelled at the request of the dispute resolution sub-committee, RSS said.
The sub-committee is working on the questionnaires related to the new constitution. The CC had yesterday sent back 30 questions forwarded to it by the sub-committee, citing ambiguities.
The CA will start voting on the contentiousness issues of the constitution once the CC forwards the set of questions to it. The sub-committee has identified 117 questions, but is yet to give them a finishing touch. nepalnews.com
