Mega Bank photo exhibition concludes

The 2nd edition of the Mega Bank Photo Competition 2068 at the Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal, Kathmandu concluded on Tuesday.

Around 6,000 people visited the five-day long exhibition including Chairman of  Constituent Assembly  Subas Chandra Nemwang  , chief justice Khilraj Regmi, business  executives ,social workers , artists , lecturers , students , and the general public  to observe 138 selected photos.

The exhibition displayed photos short listed for the award from among 7000 photos submitted by more than 800 amateur and professional photographers for the competition.

Similar exhibition will be held in Biratnagar, Pokhara ,Nepalgunj and Dhangadi in near future, said the competition organisers.

Narendra Shrestha  won the  Mega Bank Photo of the Year award while Laxmi Prasad  Ngakhusi, Yatra thulung , Narendra Shrestha, Narendra Shrestha and Narendra Mainali won the best photos in  Agni Air daily life, WWF nature and wildlife, Ubox news,  Naturally Nepal tourism and  Adventure /Raaika photo story categories respectively.

Mega Bank Photo Competition 2068 is the biggest photo competition with total prize worth and cash  Rs. 400,000 open for amateur and professional Nepali photographers organized by Photojournalist Club (PJ Club), a non-profit organization promoting photojournalism in Nepal.

PJ Club organized the event targeting amateurs and professional photographers to promote photography in Nepal. PJ Club will organize the event annually . The event is sponsored by Mega Bank in association with UBOX, category sponsor by Agni Air, Naturally Nepal, Adventure Sports , Raaika tours and travels, WWF .
