The United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) has taken strong exception to Tuesday's three-party agreement to create 11 federal states.

A meeting of the constituents of the UDMF held at Terai Madhes Lokatantrik Party (TMLP)´s parliamentary party office in Singh Durbar Wednesday decided to stand against the agreement between the UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and the UML.

"UDMF has decided not to accept 11-state model which had ignored the report of the state restructuring commission (SRC) and CA´s thematic committee," Sadbhawana Party chairman and Health Minister Rajendra Mahato said after the meeting.

He further said, "If big three parties do not reverse the decision, we will have no other choice than to launch agitations by pulling out of the government."

The next meeting has been called this evening to decide whether UDMF should continue in the Bhattarai government, Mahato informed. nepalnews.com
