Protesting Tharu Joint Struggle Committee has formed 11- member panel to hold talks with the government on its demand.  The committee has also set some preconditions for the talks.

The Tharu group has demanded action against Chief District Officers of Kailali and Kanchanpur districts, Superintendent of Police Basant Pant and Police Inspector Uddhav Sing Bhat among other for excesses on Tharu protesters.

Similarly, the Committee has also demanded action against those who set National Tharu Museum on fire in Nawalparasi district. It also demanded to release all the Tharu cadres who were arrested during the demonstrations across the country and withdraw the cases filed against them.

The talks team include Chandra Kumar Chaudhari as coordinator and Ram Charan tharu, Upendra Gachchhadar, Baldev Chudhari, Gopal Dahit,Puran Rana Tharu, Phulmati Chaudhari, Bhanuram Chaudhari, Saraswati Chaudhari, Santosh Tharu and Indrajit Tharu as members. nepalnews.com
