President Ram Baran YadavPrime Minister Baburam Bhattarai met President Ram Baran Yadav at the latter office, Shital Niwas, Tuesday morning to discuss the political scenario after the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly.

Issuing a press note, PM Bhattarai's private secretariat said the PM stressed the need for consensus among the parties. "Since the constitution does not anticipate dissolution of the CA and its fresh election we need to reach political understanding," said he.

Bhattarai also mentioned that he expected support from the President in his efforts to forge political consensus.

According to the press note, President Yadav assured of support the government, emphaising that both the government and the President's office should facilitate political understanding by remaining within the constitutional boundary.
