CPN-UML Tuesday accused the UCPN (Maoist) of conspiring to dissolve the Constituent Assembly without delivering new constitution.

The UML Standing Committee (SC) meeting held at party headquarters in Balkhu concluded that the authoritarian motive of the Maoist party was the main cause behind the CA dissolution and that the Maoists were to blame for the political crisis facing the country now.

Saying that Bhattarai government status is that of 'care-taker' government, the UML also urged President Ram Baran Yadav to take initiation for the formation of national consensus government.

The UML SC also decided to form an alliance of major democratic forces called National Democratic United Front to "face the challenges posed by all kinds of extremists" and protect nationality and democracy. nepalnews.com
