Furnishing written clarification to the Supreme Court (SC) over government move to register a bill seeking three month extension of the Constituent Assembly (CA), Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Thursday said he didn't intend to disrespect the court while taking the decision of CA term extension.

Prime Minister Baburam BhattaraiPM Bhattarai had presented himself before the SC to furnish clarification following SC's direction to the PM to clarify government decision to extend the CA term on May 24.

Advocate Kamal Raj Itani had filed a writ at the SC accusing PM Bhattarai and then Deputy Prime Minster Krishna Prasad Sitaula of contempt of court.

The government had registered the constitution amendment bill to extend the CA's term despite the SC's earlier verdict against another extension. nepalnews.com
