An improvised explosive device (IED) went off near Anada Higher Secondary School in Jalbire of Sindhupalchowk district on Saturday where Finance Minister and Maost leader Barsha Man Pun was attending a programme organised by the Maoist party Saturday afternoon.
According to police, a pipe bomb exploded near the gate of the school. However, no casualty has been reported in the incident.
Two men were seen running away after detonating the bomb, eyewitnesses said.
The intention behind the blast is yet to be known. nepalnews.com
