Rastriya Prajatantra Party- Nepal (RPP-Nepal) chairman Kamal Thapa Saturday said there was no alternative to fresh election after the Constituent Assembly (CA) was dissolved without promulgating new constitution.

According to Thapa, an election government should be formed under the leadership of a former Chief Justice to hold polls in a free and fair manner.

Addressing a mass meeting organised by the party at Khula Manch in Kahmandu, Thapa claimed that his party was confident about establishing its monarchist agenda by winning the trust of the people.

"We are ready to go to the people to establish our agendas," Thapa said, "We will not remain silent if people are deprived of their rights to vote. We will restore monarchy by wining the trust of people."

The pro-monarch leader also blamed four major political forces- UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Madhesi Front - for the dissolution of the CA.

"New nationalistic force has emerged from today's mass meeting due to the failure of the major political parties," he added.

Thapa also said reinstatement of the CA would not be acceptable for his party. He also claimed that move of the CA to declare republic and abolish monarchy was automatically invalided after the CA's demise without completing its mandate.
