The alliance of opposition political parties Saturday decided to launch a series of protests, demanding Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai's resignation and against the 'unilateral' announcement of fresh Constituent Assembly election.

A meeting of opposition parties held at UML headquarters, Balkhu, decided to launch protests against the government. The protest programmes include demonstrations, torch rallies and picketing of local administrations from June 19 to July 09.

They will also wave black flats at Prime Minister Bhattarai at the Tribhutan International Airport when he is there to go to Brazil this week to attend the Rio summit.

Likewise, the opposition parties also decided not to sit for talks with the ruling parties unless the 'unconstitutional' cabinet stepped down. nepalnews.com
