Britain's Minister of State for International Development Alan Duncan arrived in Kathmandu on a three-day visit on Tuesday.
Duncan started political parleys soon after his arrival. He met Nepali Congress president Shushil Koirala at the latter's residence in Maharajunj, discussing Nepal's current political stalemate and a possible outlet.
Duncan is set to hold a series of high-level political meetings. Those he will meet include President Ram Baran Yadav, top leaders of major parties and representatives of Nepal's international development partners.
He is scheduled to hold a press conference at the British Embassy on Wednesday to explain about his visit. nepalnews.com
