Nepali Congress vice president Ram Chandra Poudel, who has been admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Maharajgunj, due to high blood pressure and pneumonia, is gradually recovering, according to TUTH doctors.
Poudel was shifted to the general ward from Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Wednesday after significant improvement in his health and is likely to be discharged in a few days.
He was admitted there on Sunday. Leaders of major political parties including party president Sushil Koirala, Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal had seen him at the hospital. nepalnews.com
