An Assistant Sub-Inspector working at the remote Dhorpatan police post in Baglung district has been found dead.

The dead body of ASI Nar Bahadur Chhettri, who was deployed from Ilaka police post in Burtibang to provide security during a local fair in Bobang VDC was found on the banks of Dhor Kkhola Saturday afternoon, Baglung-based journalist Deepak Gautam said.

Chhettri was part of a 13-member police team deployed for security to the fair organised on Janai Poornima on Wednesday. He had gone missing on the same day.

The cause of his death remains unknown. Constable Khem Narayan Poudel, who had accompanied ASI Chhettri, has been arrested for inquiry. nepalnews.com
