Youth and student wings of various opposition parties including the Nepali Congress and the UML picketed Singha Durbar as part of their protests demanding immediate resignation of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, Friday morning.
The picketing started at 9 am and end at 11 am. The protesters chanted anti-government slogans as they surrounded Singha Durbar. The protest ended peacefully even as security was massively beefed up.
Earlier, the UM-aligned Youth Association Nepal had carried out series of agitations including a nationwide chakkajam in the morning for four days starting form Sunday. nepalnews.com
