Cadres of the main opposition parties Nepali Congress and UML waved black flags at Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai at Banepa when he was there on his way to Dhulikhel to attend a programme organised by Kathmandu University (KU) Tuesday.
PM Bhattarai's convoy had to be stopped briefly at Teendobato due to the demonstration. Black flags greeted him in at least three places along the way. PM Bhattarai is the chancellor of the KU.
A large number of security personnel was deployed along the road in view of the protests of the student and youth wings of the opposition parties, demanding his resignation. nepalnews.com
